a very small shoe store in Cedarhurst, Long Island. The policy
of the store was to sell women’s fashionable shoes while
providing outstanding service and reliability. Due to the
principle of treating the customer the way he would like to
be treated, the business started to grow. A few years later,
JILDOR moved to a larger location, where it presently stands.

In 1959 a second JILDOR opened in Great Neck, Long Island.
Due to the policy of selling a great selection of women’s
fashionable shoes while providing outstanding service and
reliability, the business grew and moved to larger quarters.
In 1979 the third JILDOR store opened in Woodbury, Long Island.
Due to the policy of selling a great selection of woman’s
fashionable shoes while providing outstanding service and
reliability, the store was enlarged. In 1989, the second generation
took over the operation of JILDOR, maintaining the policy
of selling a great selection of women’s fashionable shoes
while providing outstanding service and reliability.
In 1999 the fourth JILDOR opened in Southampton, Long Island,
continuing the policy of selling a
