GRAMMY FASHION FIASCOS & WINNERS

The Grammys are one of the most prestigious music awards an artist can win, but the clothing choices of the stars can be extremely hit or miss. Imogene Heap looked like she bought her whole outfit at a yard sale--it was extremely vintage and even came with an umbrella.

And of course Lady Gaga looked like she was a planet with her outer space fashion choice.

Miley Cyrus wore a green marbleized mini with summery pumps that looked a lot like MICHAEL by Michael Kors' Pembroke in black leather. And while her shoes were eye-catching the dress couldn't make up for this fashion disaster.

Unlike these ladies, Pink was understated in a gray dress that has gradations from gray to black with a simple silver clutch bag and dangle earrings.

And Beyonce is always a hit no matter what she wears--she went for a stunning flesh-colored floor gown with some very 1920s embroidery on the sleeves.

Mary J. Blige is always a class act and she went for a raspberry-colored gown with a simple black clutch.

It was a great color and look for her. And like many ladies attending The Grammys, her dress was so long that we can only guess what shoes she might have been sporting underneath. The Pelle Moda Nemo pump in black satin with a rhinestone buckle would have been the smart choice and would be very functional not just for this outfit, but any nighttime dress-up event.

PARIS HILTON’S NEW COMMERCIAL

The Israel lottery/sweepstakes has picked the fashionable Paris Hilton as their spokesperson. She hit the streets of Manhattan to film the commercial and dressed far more conservatively than usual--the dolled up socialite rocked the house in a leopard swing coat, tan retro dress, an oversized white bag and those oversized larger than life sunglasses she's know for. And for the shoes, it was a pair of simple tan pumps that looked a lot like Jildor's Stuart Weitzman Swoon pumps in hummus beige patent. Miss Hilton can definitely move from winter to spring in shoes like these.

The "Simple Life" star was a great choice for this role, since she's a fashion winner and loves to shop until she drops. Quite a crowd gathered to see her in action and gaze upon this icon that people just can't seem to get enough of. And although, she hasn't hit the lottery she's definitely a lucky lady! The lucky winner of the lottery will also win a high-end shopping spree--and Paris is included in the fun. As if winning the lottery isn't enough! What a prize!

Valentine Gifts Your Sole Mate Will Love

valentine's day gifts

Buying shoes is about finding the perfect balance between style and class. Somewhere in there should be practicality as well, but that one always seems to take a backseat. Shoes will make or break your outfit whether you're walking down the sidewalk or into your office. Valentine's Day is the perfect reason to buy her something special. Women know when you've taken the extra time to pick out something meaningful. They can see right through the candy, flowers, and cards. While they're a nice and simple gesture, why not shower her with something she really loves? Shoes! This year get creative and thoughtful. Make her really smile, gentlemen.

Dinner dates with her

Get her the perfect pair of shoes for an elegant dinner date and paint the town red together. The crimson patent pump by Marc Jacob is sure to make her day unforgettable. If your plans are a little extravagant, Vaneli, who offers exclusive styles for Jildor, has a similar style for a fraction of the price. Either of these choices will keep her feeling beautiful and looking forward to many more years of future Valentine's Days with you. If there is one thing women love, it's shoes. Men that buy shoes for them are even better.

Ideas for her on Valentines

Great ideas for gifts don't need to be difficult. Shoes are something she will always need and will forever want. If something in red seems a little too flashy, black or brown are always excellent color staples. A medium heel or unique looking flat is great for any wardrobe. A fancy stiletto for the fashion savvy is always sure to please. Stuart Weitzman understands the need for an exquisite shoe, and his evening wear pumps will have you red carpet ready for any occasion.

For an especially romantic evening, a new pair of heels to wear to an intimate dinner date is perfect. It will be difficult not to feel like royalty standing tall in these shoes.

Business and Valentines

Business women have a name to make for themselves both in and out of the office. Whether she's doing research or meeting clients, having the best pair of shoes is a must. daniBlack Tessa in black suede are great for women on the go. Even liven up an outfit during your after work night out for coffee or drinks. Classic black with a modestly thick heel let you decide how to work this versatile shoe.

Boots for her?

Something about boots make them event specific. How about Valentine's Day boots? A pair from Lucky Brand or Steve Madden is sure to make her day extra memorable. For something totally cozy, Ugg® boots will keep her warm when you can't. She will be thinking of you whether she's out with the girls or warming up by the fireplace.

When it comes to the best Valentine's Day gift for her, shoes are all she needs. Your time spent selecting the perfect pair will show her how much you really care. She will be reminded of that "wow" factor every time she wears them, and will always have you in mind. Elegance and a thoughtful gift, what else could anyone ask for?

FOR LADY GAGA EVERY DAY IS A CATWALK

I'm never sure whether if Lady Gaga is a couture genius or fashion faux pas. Gaga will always leave you guessing as to what she will do next. People think she's a fashion genius, even though that's sometimes extremely questionable..

One night she skipped the pants, a sport jacket and double shades (or was the second part just small Mickey Mouse ears)--the whole outfit was black and accompanied by lace-up booties. If only she would have clicked on the Jildor page and bought some ultra-hip Steven by Steve Madden black Huntley leather boots with the fancy side stitching. Her outfit would have really been slamming--if you're going to go for it, go all the way, and don't wear just any old booties.
And her bustier and jacket with extremely high shoulders that was made of disco balls that she sported at her Radio City Music Hall concert was a disaster--no shoes could save that ensemble. And those 80s Pet Shop Boy-esque glasses made it an even bigger fashion no-no.
Red carpet watching has become a sport when Lady G is involved--people love to watch her and guess what the next outfit could be. Of course, no one ever gets it right. Not even G herself.

FASHION, PARIS STYLE

It's that time of year--Paris Fashion Week. Sure people go to watch what's on the runways, but they're more into who's attending and what they're wearing. British designer John Galliano is Dior and he decided to attend his show looking more like a ring master at a circus than a dapper dandy man. Dita Von Tese sported a dominatrix all black leather number by Dior with leather gloves past the elbow and slamming thigh-high boots--the pale pin-up princess was a stunner and the hit of the 2010 Dior show. Her boots looked a lot like the Sam Edelman over-the knee sable black leather boots.
Kylie Minogue also attended the same show wearing a 20s style grey skirt suit with a twist from the Christian Dior and some black glasses so the pop princess could go incognito. But her sexy black peep-toe pumps had every straight man in the place melting. They looked suspiciously like Pella Moda's Wren Black Snake Pump.

Anne Hathaway was spotted at the Giorgio Armani Prive show in an elegant silver and white Armani stunner dress, along with smoking hot rock diva, Tina Turner (time has been good to the rock queen). Kanye West had his fashion disaster girlfriend, Amber Rose, on his arm at the Chanel show--this girl is so 1980s Grace Jones and it's really wild, but we're not sure if this is a good thing. And mommy-to-be and super model Claudia Schiffer not only attended the Chanel show, but got to hang out with Karl Lagerfeld, Mr. Chanel.

SAG AWARDS’ FASHION WINNERS & LOSERS

The SAG Awards are one of the better award shows. Why? Because the winners are chosen by their peers in the industry, plus it a very relaxed atmosphere with fun and flirty dress from the men and the women. Of course, some people take it a little to far and come off looking like clowns. Penelope Cruz can do no wrong--not only is she hot but always a class act wearing a shiny black low-cut dress and 20s black satin peep-toe pumps. And although she didn't choose the Stuart Weitzman Avalon in Black Glitter, they would have matched her dress perfectly with their shiny brilliance. Marion Cotillard, the stunning French actress who so brilliantly played Edith Piaf in La Vie En Rose, was a fashion blunder. Her off-the-shoulder white sequined dress with a feather trim hem was too over-the-top. And pairing it with hooker-esque oh so chunky platform shoes really took her look into outer space. Perhaps, she should have worn something more delicate like the Pella Moda Intrigue in gold leather--this refined shoe has a snakeskin upper and is something people will be talking about (and in a good way). Other fashion winners were Tina Fey's bright purple satin dress (great color for her), Kate Hudson's white futuristic Star Trek gown, and Holly Hunter's sophisticated black crepe gown. ALL THAT GLITTERED AT THE GOLDEN GLOBES

With the world's attention diverted for just a few hours away from Snookie and her Jersey peeps, the Golden Globes sizzled last Sunday night, despite an unceremonious downpour in Los Angeles. Some stars really shone in their beautiful dresses and accessories, while others were complete and utter fashion disasters.

Mariah Carey who can be hit or miss, was definitely a hit in her attention grabbing, curve defining black dress from Herve Leger by Max Azria. Jennifer Anniston also chose black, but an off-the-shoulder number with a huge slit up the right leg--maybe not the best choice of the night. Drew Barrymore who recently sheered her locks and added blonde highlight was a stunner--fiercely wearing a nude Atelier Versace gown that was modern yet retro with pearls and just enough pouf. And with most of the gowns/dresses being to the floor, it was hard to get a gander of the avant-garde footwear that these belles of the ball choose. But yet again, Anna Paquin is our winner for the week with her hot fiancée and True Blood co-star, Stephen Moyer, on her arm, the gold glitterati Stella McCartney dress with lots of metallic shimmer and her slamming clunky peep-toe booties. After this second sighting, we're convinced that Anna is a Jildor loyalist. I'm willing to bet she owns the uber stylish Cynthia Vincent Romas in black leather.
